Coping Mechanisms

It got me thinking about the things i have tried in the past for the good of my mental health, the conscious and the subconscious changes i made and how one thing lead to another to get me to this place.

It got me thinking about the very first self help book that I bought back in 2010, the ‘Brilliant Life’ by Michael Heppell. I read that book from cover to cover, made copious amounts of notes and really started to think big about my future and the opportunities out there.

It was the year I got married and the book even came with me on honeymoon! 2 and a bit years later we were on the move to a complete lifestyle change with our first baby in toe.

To this day i don’t know what spurred me on to buy that book. I have always just accepted the fact that part of me knew change was coming and i wanted to take action on some specific things for the good of my and my husbands future.

What I do know is that the more things I have tried and experiments made, the more I have learned about who I am and what I want from life and I want this for you to.

Life will never be perfect and there is plenty still on my bucket list but Im also aware how important it is to be present, just living in the moment and appreciating everything i have right now.

So I encourage you to do the same. Be kind to yourself, appreciate and be grateful for what you have, knowing that there will always be more available to you if you are willing to put in the work.
