Give yourself a spring clean

Spring is the time of new beginnings, clearing out the old, starting something new or even starting something again, taking a deep breath and going for it.
It's also the perfect time to re-evaluate certain areas of our lives, think about where we need to have a clear out and bring in the new (but we can 'spring' clean the areas of our lives that need it, whenever it feels necessary)
If there is something in your life that doesn't feel right then spend some time figuring out what it is and then do something about it.
It's difficult to bring in change and get outside our comfort zones but I guarantee you will feel so much better than sticking with the same old stagnant thing you feel stuck in, whatever that may be.
It sucks to be brave sometimes and it can stir up all kinds of emotions but it's worth it.
We have all experienced things in our lives where we weren't satisfied with the status quo and decided to make our own path instead. That's because our lives are a work in progress.
A constant ebb and flow of ideas, changes, new challenges and adventure.
One day we think we know something for definite and then the next morning we wake up and feel completely different or want to try something new.
We have to constantly re-evaluate where we are in life and where we're going to ensure we are content with 'our lot'.
If we don't, we can end up feeling bored, unhappy and unfulfilled or, even worse, feel guilty for feeling bored, unhappy and unfulfilled.
The good news is you can change this.
Work with yourself. Become more self aware, sort through the brain chatter and mess of ideas and contradictions in your head.
Use rested mind techniques that allow you to let your consciousness come through and tell you what you want.
There are loads to choose from such as taking a walk in nature to meditation or mindfulness or one of my favourites, journaling.
Give yourself peace of mind and impress those around you by sorting through your head and having half a clue of what you're doing and what you want to achieve in life.
Even if it doesn't come off or you change your mind you now have the opportunity to relax about the fact you are happy with the knowledge you have an idea of where you're headed.
Because you already have the answers you just need to dive a little deeper and listen to find them.
So today think about who you are.
What makes you, you,
What is your true north,
Where are you going,
Where you want to go,
What do you like,
What makes you happy.
Even if it allows you to rest your mind temporarily and get a good night's sleep it'll be worth it.
