How are you today?

Have you done any exercise, journaling, meditation or checked in with a friend or loved one recently?

Have you been looking after yourself?

Where are your anxiety levels on a scale of 1-10?

Sometimes all we need is a nudge in the right direction to remind ourselves of the simple things that make up our complicated and tricky self care routine (if you can even call it that with everything else going on around you).

It’s easy to get distracted on other things (eg the state of the world!! I mean seriously what is happening right now?) and completely forget to go for that run/walk you promised yourself or to take half an hour in your lunch break to start that new book you’ve been looking forward to reading.

It’s easy to make our family and loved ones our priority and forget to look after yourself or put it off until the timing is right. (sometimes you really have to make the time because the time will never be right)

It’s easy to put yourself in a stressful situation and not even think to check in with your body and mind and make sure you bring your adrenals back down afterwards with some quiet/alone time.

It’s easy to not want to let people down when they “haven’t seen you in weeks” and go see them at the pub when you really aren’t comfortable with it just yet.

It’s not always easy to carve out the time you need to make sure you show up as you every day and i'm with you on that, i'm definitely struggling right now. Things have been extraordinarily surreal for an extended period of time and there are days where i have trouble accepting the harsh reality we’re living in.
