A: Please check out our Journaling 101 page here
A: By Default, the FOML journal is set up to require an answer to each question. Journaling the FOML way is at its most powerful when you create a database of answers that you can later reflect on in order to pick out patterns and to note changes. Recording just one word is enough and, if you really can't find that word today, why not record the reason why you don't want to answer the question? Anything that helps you to get to the root of that feeling is valuable.
A: You can either disable or delete sharing links from the 'Shared Answers' section of your user area. 'Disable’ deactivates a social sharing link and enables you to reactivate it from the sharing list later. ‘Delete’ deactivates the social sharing link and removes it from this list completely.
A: You can access previous answers from the 'Review Answers' section of your user area, which will open in a calendar of the current month as show below:
Green dots indicate dates on which you completed your journal entries - click on one to show the entries from that day.
Red dots show dates on which you didn't complete journal entries and therefore no information is available.
To view a range of dates, click on the magnifier and the top of the calendar and to the right of the month and year. Enter the range of dates that you wish to review to create a table that looks like this:

A: Ensuring that nobody else can access your account from your device is your responsibility. We have added an auto-log out feature that will log you out after 2 minutes of inactivity. You can extend the period of time before you are logged out, or disable it (not recommended) from the General settings tab in the Settings menu.

A: If you haven't yet submitted a day's entries, you can simply navigate forwards and back through the day's questions and edit/delete text as you wish.
It is not possible to edit or delete and entry for day for which all entries have been submitted and the journalling process is complete. This is because, the idea behind FOML journaling is that it should be completed quickly and instinctively rather than as a result of a thought process over a period of time. We believe that what comes automatically to mind is the root of what really needs addressing for you.

A: Great question! Of course you can journal using pen and paper! We are offering another method for those of us who prefer to use a device for practical reasons, never being in the same place as your journal when you want to write. We offer a guided journaling platform with specific prompts to help you focus on yourself and get you in the right frame of mind as quickly as possible.
A: No pressure. Get it done when you can. We will send gentle reminders if you don't log in for a few days (and you're free to edit the reminder settings) but there is no pressure to force something out of you when it's just not there.
A: That's probably because it's set not to enable you to search and collate your answers until you have completed at least 3 days' entries. If you have completed 3 or more entries and are still having problems, please e-mail is at connect@focusonmy.life and we'll look in to it for you.
