I’m pulling out the big guns and reminding us both of something that we all to often forget and it’s this:
I know how easy it is to plough on as the weight of responsibility grows ever heavier, believing that you have to do it all.

I know how easy it is to fear, judgment or even ridicule from admitting that you can’t do it all.

I also know that, for some of us, the belief that asking for help is wrong is ingrained.

Recognise yourself there?

I thought you might.

If you do one thing today, do this:

Give yourself a break. You do not have to do it all alone and you really shouldn’t. 

Why?

Here’s my top three reasons why you need to ask for help:

  1. You’ll shed the weight of that “thing” (you know the one) that you have had niggling away at the back of your mind. Set the worry free;
  2. You might be surprised at how many people will come through for you if you do ask for help; and
  3. It will free you up to focus on the things and the people that matter – and that includes yourself!
