The focusonmy.life story

Have you ever felt disconnected?

Do you frequently forget to check in our yourself whilst you’re busy trying to max-out your efficiency and end up feeling isolated and frustrated as a result?

We get that because we feel like that sometimes too. In fact, there was a time when we were so maxed out and disconnected with our own mindsets, that our minds and our bodies left us with no choice but to do something about it.

That’s when myself and my husband made a joint decision to do something about it and it changed our lives for the better.

It gave us clarity, focus and that all important rested mind. Accessing that rested mind state has become vital to our everyday wellbeing and now we know how to get there, we want to share the rested mind magic with you.

focusonmy.life exists to fill the void in our increasingly disconnected society

Reconnect with yourself, your own mindset, remember what makes you happy and what you want out of life and you’ll put yourself in a much better position to reconnect with the world around you – not to mention the people in it.

…but don’t just take our word for it

There’s a whole bunch of research to back this up. You can read about that here, and here

Whilst we’re big on research, we also know that journaling works, because we’ve experienced its amazing effects ourselves and here’s why:

What we noticed lacking was consciousness.

We’ve all heard of ‘mindfulness’ (and we’re big fans of the concept), but It’s become such big business that it can cause even the most open minded of us to wince a little when we hear the word. That’s why our “back-to-basics” Rested Mind method strips away all of that.

The Rested Mind method is based on one simple concept:

Living in a more conscious way

If ‘Consciousness’ sounds a little too ‘mumbo jumbo’ to you, then let us explain…

Have you ever found yourself stuck in a rut. You know, that feeling of being stuck on repeat, knowing that you need to skip to the next track but with no idea of how to get there. No judgements here, but that’s not consciousness.

Have you ever got to the end of a week without taking a moment to check in on yourself? To reflect on the highs and lows? Yeah, that’s not consciousness either.

Consciousness is simply giving yourself permission to take notice of your needs and wants and to take action as a result of what you learn.

It’s giving yourself a few minutes to focus on you, celebrate the small wins and sigh out whatever bullsh*t the world threw at you today and everyday…

….and open your eyes to what you need to thrive

Our Rested Mind journaling method, shows you how to to connect your own dots and get back in touch with yourself, your mindset and your life.

Let’s get started!
